A USD $7 Billion Drone & UAV market in next 3–4 years in India, $12 Billion SpaceTech Industry, $50 Billion GreenTech & Sustainability market opportunity in next 5–10 years.

India is ready to become a world leader in UAVs, EVs, Space, and Defence. The light is GREEN. But the question is, if every engineer no matter what stream they specialised in as part of their 4 year college degree end up either becoming a software engineer (most of them a bad one, for obvious reasons) or pursue an MBA thereafter; how will we, India, become that super power? Those 4 years in college hardly provide any useful, practical education and hands-on career skills and now our school years are being subjected to over digitisation….but we are still too scared to question the norm, what everyone else is doing.

Parent’s need to wake up and start thinking bigger for what’s possible in the future their kids will grow up in….99.9% in Boards. Cracking IIT JEE, NEET, going to the U.S. for their MBA etc. etc…those were the life goals for kids born in 1970s and 80s, You!….not applicable to your kids today!

Kids of this generation are 10X smarter, wiser and have a completely different mindset. Can you even imagine what would happen if our 12–15 yr olds start getting into UAVs, Aviation, Aeronautics and Aerospace in ways nobody imagined? What if 17 yr old brilliant minds start believing that have all the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to build a super profitable, multi million dollar vertical farm business? 19yr old space scientists working on launching their own satellites into Low Earth Orbits? or 10yr olds get the foundation necessary to understand why a sustainable way of life is the only way forward…All of this and so much more is possible, but we need to help our younger generation not to get sucked into the system and spend their most productive years mugging up theory books, cracking board and entrance exams and aiming for best college degrees leading to highest paying corporate jobs. We need to help them explore and widen the horizon about the possibilities out there.

If you are OK for your 12yr old to learn software or games programming then do give her a chance to also explore stepping out and build amateur rockets. If he is being encouraged to learn drums and drama and taekwondo then let him spend some time on a farming field learning about organic farming…not because this has to be his or her career but because they should know about the possibilities out there….

“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I —
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
